Installation and Splicing Method
Because Steel Cord Conveyor Belt is designed for heavy-duty applications, hot vulcanization splicing is the recommended permanent connection method.
Hot Vulcanization Splicing
During installation, the belt ends are stripped to expose steel cords, cleaned carefully and connected with high-adhesion bonding rubber under controlled temperature and pressure. After vulcanization, the joint strength can reach more than 90% of the original belt tensile strength.
Temporary Repair Method
Cold repair methods are only suitable for small surface damage and cannot replace permanent vulcanized joints for long-distance heavy-load operation.
