YUFENG Conveyor Roller, also known as conveyor idler, is a load-bearing and guiding component used in belt conveyor systems. It supports the loaded belt, reduces running resistance and helps maintain stable belt movement during continuous material transportation.
YUFENG manufactures industrial rollers using thick-walled steel tubes, solid shafts, precision bearings and multi-layer sealing structures. The product range covers standard steel rollers, HDPE anti-corrosion rollers, PU impact rollers, trough rollers, return rollers, self-aligning rollers and spiral self-cleaning rollers for mining, cement, ports, power plants, chemical facilities and other bulk material handling applications.
Roller configuration should be selected according to belt width, material lump size, loading impact, operating environment and conveyor structure. YUFENG provides different diameters, shell materials, bearing configurations and sealing structures for project-specific requirements.
The shell material and structural design directly affect roller load capacity, corrosion resistance, impact absorption and operating life. YUFENG provides several roller constructions for different conveyor environments.
| Roller Type | Core Characteristic | Applicable Working Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Carbon Steel Conveyor Roller | High load-bearing capacity, strong impact resistance and stable operating cost | Mining, cement plants, thermal power plants and heavy bulk material transportation |
| HDPE Plastic Conveyor Roller | Lightweight, rust-free, acid and alkali resistant with low running noise | Coastal ports, chemical plants and humid open-pit mining environments |
| PU Lagging Impact Roller | Elastic PU buffer rings absorb material impact and reduce belt damage | Crusher discharge points and high-impact material loading areas |
Carbon steel rollers are commonly used for heavy-duty conveying because of their structural strength. HDPE rollers are more suitable where corrosion, salt spray or chemical exposure is a concern. PU impact rollers are positioned at loading points where large or sharp materials can create concentrated impact forces on the conveyor belt.
YUFENG supplies standard roller outer diameters of 76, 89, 108, 114, 133, 168, 194 and 219 mm. The rollers can be matched with conveyor belt widths from approximately 500–2400 mm, with roller length and wall thickness available according to conveyor frame drawings and load requirements.
The roller range is compatible with common DTII and TD75 conveyor structures and can be used with fabric conveyor belts, steel cord conveyor belts, sidewall conveyor belts and pipe conveyor belts.
A trough roller set normally uses three rollers to form a 30°, 35° or 45° carrying trough. It supports the loaded upper belt and helps maintain the required belt shape for transporting coal, sand, limestone and other bulk materials.
PU elastic rings are installed around the roller body to absorb impact energy at material loading points. This reduces concentrated impact on the conveyor belt and is suitable for crusher discharge and other high-drop applications.
Self-aligning rollers use guide rollers on both sides to help correct belt deviation during operation. They are commonly installed on long conveyor lines where continuous belt alignment is important for reducing material leakage and edge wear.
A return roller supports the unloaded lower belt as it travels back toward the drive section. Standard parallel rollers can be used for conventional return sections, while V-type return arrangements can provide additional belt-tracking support.
The HDPE shell does not rust like conventional carbon steel and provides resistance to salt spray, moisture and selected chemical media. It is suitable for coastal terminals, chemical plants and other corrosive operating environments.
The helical roller surface helps remove sticky clay, wet sand and other materials that may adhere to the belt. This design can reduce material accumulation around the roller and lower the risk of roller jamming in wet conveying applications.
YUFENG selects the roller shell, shaft, bearing and sealing components according to the expected load and operating environment. The combination of these components determines the roller's running resistance, sealing performance and service life.
Carbon steel rollers can use Q235 steel tube, while HDPE rollers use virgin HDPE material. Stainless steel 304 shell construction is also available for applications requiring additional corrosion resistance.
45# solid cold-drawn steel shaft is used for standard heavy-duty constructions. The solid shaft provides resistance to bending and deformation under continuous loading.
Deep-groove ball bearings with C3 clearance are used to support smooth rotation. Domestic high-precision bearings and imported SKF or FAG bearings can be selected according to project requirements.
The roller can use a multi-channel nylon labyrinth structure combined with rubber contact seals. The sealing arrangement is designed to reduce the entry of dust and water into the bearing cavity and retain lubricating grease around the bearing.
Different conveyor projects require different roller dimensions and configurations. YUFENG can customize the roller according to belt width, frame dimensions, material characteristics and environmental conditions.
Available options include Q235 carbon steel, HDPE and 304 stainless steel for different load and corrosion requirements.
Surface options include electrostatic powder coating, hot-dip galvanizing and full PU lagging. The appropriate treatment can be selected according to corrosion, impact and service requirements.
Double and triple composite labyrinth sealing structures are available for applications with different dust and water exposure levels.
Domestic high-precision bearings or imported SKF/FAG C3 bearings can be specified according to the required operating performance and project budget.
Low-temperature, flame-retardant and anti-static roller configurations can be supplied for specialized underground mining and other demanding environments.
YUFENG can also supply matching roller brackets and support frames according to the conveyor structure, simplifying component matching during system installation.
Conveyor rollers operate continuously while the belt is running, so bearing protection, rotation resistance and concentricity are important purchasing considerations. YUFENG uses controlled machining and assembly processes to maintain consistent roller geometry and running performance.
| Performance Item | Standard Requirement | Test Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Rotation Resistance Coefficient | ≤0.008 | ISO 15365 |
| Dust & Water Ingress Grade | IP65 | IP Test Standard |
| Rated Load Service Life | ≥30,000 working hours | Factory Accelerated Aging Test |
| Roller Shell Concentricity | ≤0.5 mm | Dial Indicator Test |
| Bearing Anti-Aging Time | ≥5,000 h high-temperature test | Internal Lab Test |
| Axial Static Load Capacity | 1.5 times rated load without deformation | Static Pressure Test |
Actual performance depends on roller diameter, shell thickness, bearing selection, load, belt speed and operating environment. Factory test data can be provided according to the selected roller configuration.
YUFENG conveyor rollers are manufactured according to applicable conveyor equipment requirements and relevant international and national standards, including CEMA, GB/T 10595 and ISO 15365. Applicable mining and export products can also be supplied with corresponding inspection and certification documentation.
Available quality documentation can include ISO 9001 quality management certification, CE documentation, SGS raw material inspection reports, coal mine safety test documentation and factory rotation resistance and service-life test reports, depending on the roller configuration and destination market.
Roller reliability depends heavily on the quality of the steel tube, shaft, bearing and sealing components. YUFENG inspects incoming materials before they enter the assembly process to reduce the risk of premature bearing failure, shaft deformation and shell defects.
Steel tubes are checked for dimensional consistency and structural quality. Inferior thin-wall or unsuitable recycled tubes are not accepted for standard heavy-duty roller production.
Solid shafts are inspected for dimensions and machining accuracy to maintain correct bearing positioning and roller concentricity.
Bearings are checked for rotation characteristics and applicable performance requirements before assembly.
Completed rollers undergo rotation resistance and related sampling tests before release. This helps identify abnormal running resistance, sealing problems or assembly deviations before shipment.
YUFENG Roller is designed for belt conveyor systems used across industries where continuous bulk material handling is required. Roller type and material are selected according to the conveying environment and belt structure.
Carbon steel trough rollers, impact rollers and self-aligning rollers are used for coal, ore, limestone and aggregate conveying systems with heavy loads and high material impact.
Rollers support continuous transportation of limestone, clinker, sand, gravel and other abrasive materials throughout crushing and cement production lines.
HDPE anti-corrosion rollers can be selected for coastal environments where humidity and salt spray may accelerate corrosion of conventional steel components.
HDPE or stainless steel roller constructions can be considered where conveyor components are exposed to moisture or selected corrosive chemical environments.
Heavy-duty steel rollers and impact rollers can support coal, ash, slag and other bulk material transportation systems depending on temperature and material characteristics.
YUFENG conveyor rollers use a practical shaft-and-bracket structure that allows routine installation and replacement without complex modification to the conveyor frame.
Roller support brackets are fixed to the conveyor frame according to the design spacing. The roller shafts are then aligned with the bracket mounting holes and secured with the specified pins or bolts. The completed roller should rotate freely without abnormal resistance.
The conveyor must be stopped and isolated from the power source before maintenance. After removing the shaft locking components, the damaged roller can be removed and replaced with a new unit. Rotation should be checked before the conveyor is returned to service.
For crusher loading areas, three to five groups of PU impact rollers can be arranged within approximately 5 m of the loading point to distribute impact forces and reduce concentrated belt damage.
YUFENG supplies rollers together with other bulk material handling components for projects requiring coordinated procurement. Matching products can be selected according to the same conveyor design and operating conditions.
Available belts include fabric conveyor belts, steel cord conveyor belts, sidewall conveyor belts, pipe conveyor belts, patterned belts and rough-top belts.
Matching trough, return, self-aligning and impact roller brackets and support stands can be supplied according to the conveyor frame configuration.
Wear-resistant rubber sheets, conveyor skirting, repair adhesives and patching materials are available for conveyor installation and maintenance.
HDPE water pipes and dredge pipes can be supplied for auxiliary fluid transportation requirements in mining and industrial projects.
Roller diameter, wall thickness, shaft dimensions and sealing structure can be adjusted according to customer drawings and working-condition requirements.
YUFENG uses different packaging structures according to roller diameter, weight and material to reduce collision, moisture and surface damage during transportation.
76, 89 and 108 mm rollers can be bundled with steel wire, fitted with protective caps at both shaft ends and packed in wooden cases.
168, 194 and 219 mm heavy rollers can be arranged on wooden pallets, wrapped with protective plastic film and secured for container transportation.
HDPE rollers can be separated with cushioning materials to reduce surface collision and deformation during handling.
Rollers should be stored horizontally on pallets with a recommended stacking height of no more than 1.2 m. Outdoor storage should use waterproof covering and avoid prolonged exposure to rain and direct sunlight.
For an accurate roller selection, buyers should provide the matched conveyor belt width, required roller outer diameter, roller type, working environment, material characteristics and order quantity. For impact applications, material lump size and loading height are also important because they determine the required impact absorption capacity.
YUFENG can recommend a suitable roller configuration based on these operating parameters and provide a factory quotation according to the confirmed specification.
